Party house be­ing probed

PO­LICE are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two out-of-con­trol gath­er­ings at the same Thorn­lie home two nights in a row.

On Fri­day night, po­lice re­ceived numer­ous calls re­port­ing a large num­ber of peo­ple were at a house party in Ber­nice Street.

About 9.30pm po­lice ar­rived at the home and an out-of-con­trol gath­er­ing was de­clared just af­ter 10pm when ob­jects were thrown at po­lice cars.

Of­fi­cers broke up the party.

On Sat­ur­day night, po­lice were again called fol­low­ing re­ports of a large party at the ad­dress.

Of­fi­cers cau­tioned the oc­cu­pants but more peo­ple con­tin­ued to ar­rive.

About 9.15pm of­fi­cers de­clared it an out-of-con­trol gath­er­ing.

No ar­rests were made, and the oc­cu­pants are as­sist­ing po­lice with their in­quiries.
