ARMADALE Soccer Club’s women are leading the way for their junior counterparts.

Super Saturday saw Armadale SC’s division 2 women’s side take on Perth Royals FC, with some of the first junior all girls team as mascots.

The Armadale women secured a win with a late goal, taking out the match 32.

Armadale SC’s Kirsty Woods said the female arm of the club has been expanding rapidly at all levels from social to competitive.

“Our new facilities including changing rooms, along with the development of women’s interest in soccer now sees us field three teams each weekend,” she said.

“In the near future we hope to continue this trend with the development of juniors and NPL.”
