PO­LICE are ask­ing for help to iden­tify a man who at­tacked a 65-year-old woman in her home in Ar­madale on Septem­ber 6.

The ag­gra­vated rob­bery took place at 5.10pm on Sixth Road, with the man en­ter­ing through the front door and de­mand­ing the woman's car keys.

When she re­fused, he punched her to the ground and kicked her re­peat­edly, steal­ing her hand­bag, keys to her car and then the car it­self.

The stolen car was in­volved in reck­less driv­ing in­ci­dents, dur­ing which sev­eral ve­hi­cles were dam­aged on Al­bany High­way near Kelvin Road.

The car was fi­nally aban­doned on Al­bany High­way near Brook­ton High­way and the driver fled.

The woman was taken to Ar­madale Hos­pi­tal, where she was treated for a se­ri­ous lac­er­a­tion to her head and ex­ten­sive bruis­ing.

The ve­hi­cle has been seized for foren­sic pur­poses. Any­one who can help to iden­tify the man is asked to call Crimestop­pers on 1800 333 000.

Ar­madale po­lice are look­ing for a sil­ver Holden Com­modore which was be­ing driven reck­lessly in the area. The regis­tra­tion num­ber is KA178. Any­in­for­ma­tion should be re­ported to 131 444.
