THERE is interesting news that a driver achieved 167km/h on Indian Ocean Drive where another driver had recently crashed.
One driver speeds without harming anyone but there is no speeding necessarily associated with the crash.
It suits the purposes of the road safety industry to keep trying to link reports of fatalities on that road to separate reports of drivers doing illegal speeds there.
Yet illegal speeding is not a prerequisite for a fatal crash.
