WORDS OF ADVICE FOR MR ABBOTT

Comment News (Armadale) - - Opinion -

DESPITE the fact Tony Abbott said he would not snipe from the back bench when he was deposed as Prime Minister two years ago, he has been causing waves of disunity within the Liberal team.

In fact, his every word is relished by Bill Shorten and his cohorts.

It is obvious he is driven by the desire to lead the party, even if it is from the Opposition benches.

Perhaps he should consider a career change – Abbott by name, abbot by nature – and spend his time in a monastery reflecting and leading a merry band of Trappist monks.

I am sure that many of his Liberal colleagues would appreciate the sound of silence.

ROGER DAVENPORT, Southern River.
