Georgia leads the way
SCOTT Mosey was over the moon when his children decided to follow in his footsteps and exhibit at the recent Kelmscott Show.
Little did he know, nine-year-old daughter Georgia would not only go up against him twice and soundly beat him both times, she would also go on to win or come second in all but three of the categories she was exhibiting in.
Georgia said the reason she entered so many categories was to give her the best chance to win at least one.
And while the strawberry jam competition had been her favourite because she had beaten her dad, she wasn’t quite expecting the haul of other awards she received.
“It felt awesome, I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “Dad entered last year and did well so that inspired me to beat him.
“I have set a goal (next year) to try to win more than this year.
“I was also stoked my school Roleystone Community College won the prize for most points in exhibitions by primary school students.”
