The Traffic Enforcement Group is investigating a serious crash in Maddington on Thursday, November 9. At 6.55am a black SsangYong Kyron station sedan was travelling south on Tonkin Highway near Maddington Road when it drifted onto the median strip. The driver overcorrected and hit an orange Hino truck before crossing the median strip and into the northbound lanes, colliding with a white Mitsubishi Triton utility. The Triton then crashed into a white Mitsubishi Express van before both were hit by a green Toyota Camry station sedan. Three of six injured people were taken to hospital by ambulance, including the 42-year-old female driver of the SsangYong. Investigators want anyone who saw the black SsangYong before the crash, anyone who saw the accident, or any drivers in the area with dash cam footage to call Crime Stoppers.
