Madding­ton boy bakes cup­cakes for a cause.

AN 11-year-old Madding­ton boy is hop­ing the sim­ple act of en­joy­ing a de­li­cious cup­cake will help hundreds of an­i­mals in need.

Lach­lan Bol­ger will be busy in the kitchen in the lead up to the RSPCA’s Cup­cake Day on Au­gust 20, bak­ing an as­sort­ment of cup­cakes to sell to fam­ily and school friends.

All the money he makes will be do­nated to the RSPCA.

The RSPCA WA Ju­nior Am­bas­sador is no stranger to us­ing the kitchen to help in his fundrais­ing en­deav­ours, hav­ing started his own busi­ness Nummy Nib­bles to bake home­made dog treats.

He said he loved help­ing the RSPCA.

“They help all the an­i­mals that re­ally need help,” he said.

“I also love be­ing an RSPCA Ju­nior Am­bas­sador be­cause I just want to show all the an­i­mals that haven’t been treated very well that some­body cares about them.”

RSPCA WA in­terim chief ex­ec­u­tive Ben Cave said lo­cals were en­cour­aged to join in the fun by bak­ing and sell­ing some of their own cup­cakes.
