GOSNELLS are in the box seat to move back into Premier Cricket finals contention after a tight day against Wanneroo at Kingsway Reserve on Saturday.

Wickets at regular intervals meant the Roos could never post a big total, with the hosts making 163 all out in their round 13 encounter.

Matt Leipold took 4-37, while skipper Luis Reece and Chris Prescott each took two wickets.

Reece got the key wicket of Robbie Richards for 38, caught by Prescott, while Jakob Horsman had Dan Lawrence caught and bowled for 32. Gosnells finished at 2-63, with Jonathon Crowe losing his wicket late in the day for 35.

The Hawks are looking for back-to-back wins, having knocked off Subiaco Floreat.
