Vollies needed for op shop
THE new St Vincent de Paul shop and head office which recently opened in Canning Vale will provide the community with a new op shopping experience.
Retail operations manager Signe Balodis said volunteers were needed to help get the new facility off the ground and put the call out to people in the area.
“We need volunteers to help out in store assisting with customer service, ringing up sales through the register and general merchandising,” she said.
“Our volunteers always have a great time and enjoy the friendly and supportive environment along with the opportunity to give back to the community by giving some of their time.”
Volunteers are trained in all areas of working in a retail environment including register operation, customer service, sorting, pricing donations and merchandising.
“We look forward to engaging with the community through our shop and are confident the local community will be supportive,” Mrs Balodis said.
“Vinnies shops provide more than a retail opportunity, they are pivotal in providing welfare support to people who are doing it tough.”
Profits from the sale of all goods go directly towards Emergency Relief Assistance as well funding important support services for the local community.
The new shop is located at 9 Brewer Road, Canning Vale.
