Tech cen­tre set to take stu­dents into the fu­ture

CE­CIL An­drews Col­lege opened its $4.5 mil­lion STEM cen­tre on Fe­bru­ary 16.

In­clud­ing a lec­ture theatre, en­gi­neer­ing stu­dio and science lab­o­ra­tory kit­ted out with the lat­est tech­nol­ogy, the cen­tre will be for stu­dents and teach­ers to learn about cod­ing, robotics and 3D print­ing.

CAC is a teacher de­vel­op­ment school, help­ing teach­ers keep up with the lat­est in STEM knowl­edge and re­sources for cur­ricu­lum de­sign for years 7 to 10.

The STEM cen­tre will help Ce­cil’s 650 stu­dents, from years 7 to 12, with prob­lem-solv­ing skills.
