ART OF ALL TYPES AT OPEN DAY
THERE will be wide variety of artwork on display at the Liddelow Arts and Craft Centre Open Day.
The not-for-profit organisation will showcase a multitude of artworks created at their Kenwick facilities on Saturday.
Mexican painter Federico Medina, whose past work has been exhibited in the Black Swan Portraiture Prize, will also make an appearance.
Children’s pottery teacher Kathrine Britton said the open day was a great chance for people to get involved with the club.
“It’s important for everyone to know what we do within the club and for them to see the facilities we’ve got,” she said.
“The main reason for the open day is to see what we do, so they can also join us if they want to.
“Some people don’t know what’s happening so it’s good to advertise.”
Some artworks, including paintings, will be available to purchase and there will be demonstrations of most of the classes on offer.
Liddelow Arts and Crafts offers a variety of art classes, including wood turning, painting, patchwork, mosaic, china painting, embroidery, crochets, spinning, knitting, pottery and children’s pottery.
A sausage sizzle and refreshments will be available on the day.
