THE King of the Hill Skateboarding grand final attracted 50 competitors who battled it out in sweltering heat at Mills Park Skate Plaza in Beckenham on March 4.

Qualifying rounds were held throughout February at Gosnells, Willetton, Belmont and Roleystone Skate Parks.

In front of 1000 spectators over five weeks the finest scooters and skaters showed off their heart- stopping best moves for cash prizes.

The event was a project designed to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce the negative stigma of seeking help, particularly among young males aged 12 to 24.
