With the main events taking place at the college on Wednesday, March 22, Lumen Christi College students will be involved in many activities designed to broaden their cultural awareness.

Throughout Harmony Week, within English and humanities and social science classes, the students will have the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of Australia and their own family through writing and viewing activities.

In religious education, students will investigate fairness, justice and community through class tasks and exercises.

Other learning areas will also have opportunities to investigate aspects of Australia’s diverse culture in different ways.

Parents and students of the college are encouraged to take part in the celebrations by providing their own personal cultural and heritage stories, as well as traditional family recipes for general display in the college’s library.

Other activities at the college will include a National or cultural costume competition, an Aussie BBQ and a cultural food ordering service for the day.
