MANY in today's society have a tendency to supply goods and services that are well below standard or are fraudulent in nature.

I have developed the habit of seeking a review for any goods and services that I wish to buy or use.

Modern technology allows us, with just a few keystrokes, to find out the opinions of others about the goods or services we are intending to use by entering in the product or service followed by 'review' into many of the internet search engines that are available.

It is sad that we have to be so vigilant when we require the services of tradespeople who should be devoting their time to customer service and satisfaction, rather than trying to 'make a quick buck' through dishonest or fraudulent means.

Be aware of your rights and the power that you have through a few keystrokes - you will save yourself so much heartache and, hopefully, get the goods and services that you deserve. GERARD MCMANUS, Currambine.
