Madding­ton Gos­nells ju­niors in great form

MADDING­TON Gos­nells Squash club en­joyed a su­perb week­end at the Mirra­booka Head Clas­sic Ju­nior Squash Tour­na­ment on Satur­day, April 22.

The club sent five ju­nior play­ers to com­pete and all five did their club proud by plac­ing in their re­spec­tive grades.

Daniel Marsh took out the Di­vi­sion 5 tour­na­ment, win­ning a new rac­quet in the process.

Bradley Ward and Eric Marsh were both run­ner-ups in Di­vi­sion 2 and Di­vi­sion 5 re­spec­tively, while Jack­son Kiely fin­ished third in Di­vi­sion 3.

Jhett Bosshard was a plate-win­ner in Di­vi­sion 5 to round out the club’s great set of re­sults.

One of the ju­nior coaches, Jesse Hel­li­well, was also a plate win­ner in the adult tour­na­ment.

For young peo­ple in­ter­ested in tak­ing up squash, Madding­ton/Gos­nells Ju­nior Squash coach­ing takes place each Fri­day of the school term at 1860 Albany High­way, Madding­ton.
