Boys charged over soc­cer scare

THREE boys will face court again af­ter al­legedly ter­ror­is­ing lo­cals at ju­nior soc­cer games last week­end.

The trio ap­peared in Perth Chil­dren’s Court yes­ter­day, with a 12year-old next due to ap­pear on June 6 and two 13-year-olds due to ap­pear on July 10.

The chil­dren were charged af­ter al­legedly rid­ing a mo­tor­cy­cle on to an Ar­madale oval dur­ing sports matches yes­ter­day and bran­dish­ing a knife. Po­lice al­lege that about 10.15am, the boys rode a red mo­tor­cy­cle at speed on to Mor­gan Park.

At one point, the boys al­legedly rode the mo­tor­cy­cle near a spec­ta­tor, steal­ing her bag.

As they at­tempted to leave wit­nesses tried to ap­pre­hend the boys, dur­ing which one of the boys al­legedly pro­duced a large knife and threat­ened wit­nesses.

The 13-year-old boy from Brook­dale, 12-year-old boy from Ar­madale and 13-year-old boy from Ar­madale have been charged with of­fences, in­clud­ing steal­ing a mo­tor ve­hi­cle and ag­gra­vated armed rob­bery.
