HEALTHY EATING Curtin University's Dr Kyla Ringrose said the more parents and guardians modelled eating healthy food and being physically active, the more children would copy them. She said small, sustainable changes were key, including:
Eating one more serve of vegies every day, or snacking on fruit instead of junk food; Eating together as a family; Turning off the TV at mealtimes; Cooking meals at home instead of buying fast food; and Getting rid of sugary drinks and offering only water or milk at home.
