Black spot funds bid

THE Ni­chol­son Road and Ran­ford Road in­ter­sec­tion in Can­ning Vale heads the list of projects the City of Gos­nells have sub­mit­ted to the 2018-19 Na­tional (Na­tion Build­ing) and State Black Spot pro­grams.

The in­ter­sec­tion, which was the lo­ca­tion of 219 crashes be­tween 2012 and 2016, is one of six lo­ca­tions the City has sub­mit­ted for grant fund­ing.

The City is seek­ing fund­ing for the in­stal­la­tion of over­head mast arms for traf­fic sig­nals at the in­ter­sec­tion on the cor­ner of the Liv­ingston Mar­ket­place.

Sub­mis­sions to the pro­gram will be as­sessed on merit as fund­ing ap­proval de­pends on the num­ber and na­ture of projects through­out WA meet­ing the cri­te­ria and the to­tal costs.
