Delyse’s art a delight
KENWICK’s Delyse Greygoose has won the City of Gosnells Community Art Award and Exhibition’s Primewest People’s Choice Award.
More than 240 people voted in the category at the exhibition last month, with Mrs Greygoose’s oil painting Don’t Look Up a clear favourite.
The painting, which portrayed a dog with a magpie swooping close to its head, was based on a photograph Mrs Greygoose spotted in the newspaper.
“It was a surprise and a shock when I heard I won. Painting keeps me out of mischief a bit, I do it because I can,” she said.
Mrs Greygoose, who has lived in the same Kenwick home for nearly 50 years, has also taught a painting class at her local church since 1988.
