Crime spree suspect arrested
45-YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED
A HUNTINGDALE man has been arrested following an alleged crime spree in Perth’s south-eastern suburbs on Wednesday, September 6, involving a firearm and a road rage incident.
The 45 year-old man was arrested following a string of crimes, after which police located a sawn-off 12-gauge shotgun and about 35 shotgun shells.
Police said the man damaged a house on Jubilee Street in Beckenham, before he went to a property on Barkley Loop in Canning Vale two hours later armed with a firearm.
Shortly afterwards, police said the man repeatedly rammed a car which had stopped at a roundabout.
About 7pm, what was believed to be a gunshot was heard near Moss Street in Huntingdale.
Police responded and released a police dog when they heard the man’s raised voice.
After a short confrontation, the man was tasered and arrested.
The man was charged with possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation (altered) and endangerment of life, health or safety of a person.
He has been remanded in custody and will face court on October 3.
