CHILD Abuse Squad detectives have charged a 34-year-old Canning Vale woman as a result of their investigation into child sex offences.
It is alleged these incidents occurred while the woman was employed as a teacher at a secondary school in the Perth metropolitan area.
The incidents allegedly took place between 2015 and 2017 and involved a female student between 15 and 17 years old at the time.
The woman has been charged with various offences, including four counts of indecently dealing with a child over 16 under their authority, two counts of sexually penetrating a child over 13 and under 16, and persistent sexual contact with a child under 16.
The woman is due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday, October 18.
