Premier helps school cel­e­brate

HUNTINGDALE Pri­mary School stu­dents cel­e­brated their 40th birth­day in style with a visit from State Premier Mark McGowan.

The Premier vis­ited the school to help them cel­e­brate their 40th an­niver­sary and also ‘re-opened’ the school by pre­sent­ing them with the re­brassed orig­i­nal school plaque.

The school rolled out the wel­come mat for the premier and treated him to per­for­mances by the WA Po­lice Pipe Band and the choir. Mr McGowan spoke

the stu­dents at an to assem­bly about his mother, who was a teacher, and stressed the im­por­tance of ed­u­ca­tion.

Huntingdale Pri­mary School prin­ci­pal Edd Black said the cel­e­bra­tion, with a pipe band and the premier, re­flected the school’s ini­tial open­ing.
