Premier helps school celebrate
HUNTINGDALE Primary School students celebrated their 40th birthday in style with a visit from State Premier Mark McGowan.
The Premier visited the school to help them celebrate their 40th anniversary and also ‘re-opened’ the school by presenting them with the rebrassed original school plaque.
The school rolled out the welcome mat for the premier and treated him to performances by the WA Police Pipe Band and the choir. Mr McGowan spoke
the students at an to assembly about his mother, who was a teacher, and stressed the importance of education.
Huntingdale Primary School principal Edd Black said the celebration, with a pipe band and the premier, reflected the school’s initial opening.
