LOCAL HOMES BECOME MORE AFFORDABLE
THE Comment News area is home to three of Perth’s most affordable suburbs, according to the latest data from REIWA.
Armadale placed second on the list of the 10 most affordable suburbs by median house price for the year to March 2018.
It recorded a median house price of $250,000, a 12.9 per cent decrease from the previous year.
Camillo was ranked third while Maddington was eighth.
These suburbs also saw their median house prices decline in the past 12 months.
Medina was Perth’s most affordable suburb, with a median house price of $238,000.
Properties sold fastest in Leda, with an average of 61 days on the market, and it was the only suburb on the list to record an increase in the median house price.
It rose 5.3 per cent to $316,000 in the 12 months to March 2018.
Other suburbs to make the top 10 were Parmelia, Hillman, Cooloongup and Orelia.
