CHRIS Goldberg has enjoyed a double dose of success at the City of Gosnells’ Community Art Exhibition and Awards, winning the competition’s two accolades. Ms Goldberg’s painting

Invisible was a favourite among both judges and community members, as it won both the Overall Acquisitive Award and the People’s Choice Award.

The striking oil painting brought attention to the disadvantaged in an urban environment and will add diversity and depth to the City’s art collection.

Her painting beat Carol Thompson’s Twilight in Quinninup Southern Forest

to win the People’s Choice Award by just a single vote.

It was one of a record 284 other entries which were viewed by more than 800 art lovers.
