Maddington boy bakes cupcakes for a cause.
AN 11-year-old Maddington boy is hoping the simple act of enjoying a delicious cupcake will help hundreds of animals in need.
Lachlan Bolger will be busy in the kitchen in the lead up to the RSPCA’s Cupcake Day on August 20, baking an assortment of cupcakes to sell to family and school friends.
All the money he makes will be donated to the RSPCA.
The RSPCA WA Junior Ambassador is no stranger to using the kitchen to help in his fundraising endeavours, having started his own business Nummy Nibbles to bake homemade dog treats.
He said he loved helping the RSPCA.
“They help all the animals that really need help,” he said.
“I also love being an RSPCA Junior Ambassador because I just want to show all the animals that haven’t been treated very well that somebody cares about them.”
RSPCA WA interim chief executive Ben Cave said locals were encouraged to join in the fun by baking and selling some of their own cupcakes.
