Stu­dio Dum­bar

Liza is cre­ative di­rec­tor at iconic Dutch de­sign agency Stu­dio Dum­bar, based in Rot­ter­dam. She’s also co-founder and host of pod­cast sta­tion Typer­a­dio. The Royal Col­lege of Art grad­u­ate says the mix of ap­plied de­sign, re­search and strange ob­ser­va­tions keeps her happy work­ing in the field.



Louis co-founded Pa­prika in 1991, where he now acts as cre­ative di­rec­tor. His work has earned him more than 700 na­tional and in­ter­na­tional awards. He also teaches at the École de de­sign at the Univer­sité du Québec à Mon­tréal and has been a mem­ber of the AGI since 2010.­


Graphic de­signer

Orig­i­nally from Scot­land, Glenn runs a small col­lab­o­ra­tive de­sign stu­dio in Uetze, North­ern Ger­many, where he works with spe­cial­ists around the world in fields in­clud­ing print, pack­ag­ing and cor­po­rate de­sign, and web de­sign. Orig­i­nally from Copen­hagen, Den­mark, graphic de­signer Mads is as­so­ciate cre­ative di­rec­tor at New York-based global strate­gic brand­ing firm Siegel+Gale. From art projects to large-scale brand­ing projects, his work is al­ways rooted in strong con­cep­tual ideas, and he de­scribes him­self as a “cre­ative, thinker and doer”. He of­ten looks abroad for cre­ative in­sight and is par­tic­u­larly in­spired by Ja­panese aes­thet­ics. Mads views sim­plic­ity as a way of life and a touch­stone of his de­sign. Michael runs john­son banks, a Lon­don-based de­sign con­sul­tancy that has gar­nered a global rep­u­ta­tion for its work since 1992. Its first decade was ded­i­cated to print and iden­tity, but these days john­son banks’ fo­cus is firmly on iden­tity and brand­ing. Michael’s com­pany works on a range of projects across the char­ity, cul­tural and not-for-profit sec­tors, in­clud­ing cel­e­brated re­brands for the likes of Lon­don’s Sci­ence Mu­seum, Acu­men and the Dis­as­ters Emer­gency Com­mit­tee. Il­lus­tra­tor, graphic de­signer and art di­rec­tor

Lotta stud­ied graphic de­sign and il­lus­tra­tion at the Univer­sity of Art and De­sign in Helsinki, where she grew up. She worked for fash­ion mag­a­zine Trendi, Pen­ta­gram and RoAndCo Stu­dio, be­fore be­com­ing a full-time free­lancer based in New York City. In 2010, Lotta re­ceived the Art Di­rec­tors Club Young Guns award and was selected by Print mag­a­zine for its an­nual New Vis­ual Artists re­view. Alt Group

Dean started ex­hibit­ing his art­work at the age of 14, but soon switched to de­sign in­stead. These days he is co-founder and cre­ative di­rec­tor of Alt Group, a mul­ti­dis­ci­plinary de­sign stu­dio based in New Zealand. The com­pany says that it “doesn’t like us­ing com­put­ers that much; we just have to use them be­cause ev­ery­one else has one.” Alt Group doesn’t pro­mote its work on­line ei­ther, in or­der to avoid es­tab­lish­ing a pre-con­ceived im­age. The Chase

Af­ter study­ing graph­ics in Eng­land, Richard spent the next 30 years doo­dling and di­rect­ing in the UK and Aus­tralia. His clients in­clude Nike, the BBC, Royal Mail Stamps and The De­sign Coun­cil. He feels lucky to have won over 100 na­tional and in­ter­na­tional awards.


BETC Lon­don

Award-win­ning de­signer Louise has worked at leading Lon­don ad agencies BBH, M&C Saatchi, WCRS and JWT, across print, TV and dig­i­tal, and in 2011 was ap­pointed head of de­sign at BETC Lon­don. Louise is also a mem­ber of The Ty­po­graphic Cir­cle com­mit­tee and edi­tor of Cir­cu­lar mag.



Stan is the cre­ative di­rec­tor of award­win­ning firm Me­taDe­sign, which has cre­ated vis­ual de­sign sys­tems for the likes of Ap­ple and Nike. Known for his hands-on ap­proach to di­rec­tion, Stan builds on 19 years of ex­pe­ri­ence by bal­anc­ing the con­ven­tions of cor­po­rate de­sign and brand­ing with fine art.­tade­



James is an award­win­ning free­lance di­rec­tor based in Lon­don. Work­ing with a plethora of clients from video games, to tele­vi­sion, film and even sports, his work was re­cently recog­nised by an ADC Young Guns award. In his spare time he co-or­gan­ises cre­ative event See No Evil.­tan­


Val­lée Duhamel

Julien and Eve founded Val­lée Duhamel in 2013. The Mon­treal-based stu­dio of­fers its clients a wide range of de­sign ser­vices, from events to com­mer­cials, mu­sic, fash­ion, posters, mag­a­zines and ob­jects. It spe­cialises in high qual­ity, lo-fi, and of­ten hand­made vi­su­als and in­stal­la­tions, and favours a play­ful and ex­per­i­men­tal ap­proach to­ward work. Jim Suther­land worked at The Part­ners and HGV be­fore be­com­ing one of the founders and cre­ative part­ners at Lon­don-based brand­ing stu­dio Hat-trick de­sign. Over the last 12 years the com­pany has worked on over 1,000 projects for the likes of AHMM, The Sal­va­tion Army, Nat­u­ral His­tory Mu­seum, BHF, Prostate Cancer UK, Ram­bert, Land Se­cu­ri­ties, Kew Gar­dens, Al­macan­tar, and Wim­ble­don.
