HYPNOSHINE by Ditroit www.ditroit.it

Ac­cord­ing to Sal­va­tore Gi­unta, cre­ative di­rec­tor of mo­tion stu­dio Ditroit, the brief for short film Hypnoshine was sim­ple. “It can be summed up in one sen­tence: ‘Guys, could you trans­late the theme of our new eye­wear col­lec­tion Hypnoshine into a video that we can use on so­cial me­dia?’”

The Fendi Hypnoshine eye­wear comes in four dif­fer­ent colours, so Ditroit cre­ated four dif­fer­ent ab­stract worlds for each model, with a swing­ing pen­du­lum in­tro­duc­ing each mi­cro­cosm. “A trained eye might spot that some of the com­po­si­tions are in­spired by Sal­vador Dalì’s art,” con­tin­ues Gi­unta, adding that the first style frame is al­ways the most chal­leng­ing. “It sums up the aes­thetic di­rec­tion of the whole video, so we in­vested a lot of thought and time into creat­ing that ex­act look and feel. It’s thrilling to us and on point with the client’s ex­pec­ta­tions at the same time.”
