HIGHLY COMMENDED: PUBLISHING by Studio Sutherl& http://studio-suther Studio Sutherl&’s branding scheme for the much-loved murder mystery brand Agatha Christie Limited started with a simple monogram logo, eventually expanding into a charming, versatile series of icons to present the iconic characters created by the author.

Creating the ‘a’ of Agatha by combining ‘c’ for Christie with a mystery-evoking ‘?’, the monogram sets the tone for the punctuation mark-led branding scheme. Poirot is conveyed simply using his trademark moustache, for instance; Miss Marple is recognisable by her hair and eyes alone.

These character icons are used on business cards and bound into mini books. Other branded products include bookmarks, tote bags, playing cards, pencils and fold-out posters.
