7. Making a stacked supersaw synth

1 VPS Avenger features two options for generating unison voices: the semiautomatic V-Saw, and the more detailed (but less expansive) Voicing tab. Let’s make use both in this tab. Load the Saw and Square preset from Tutorial Files and mute Oscillator 2 (called Stack). 2 Voices and Octaves in the V-Saw tab control the number of unison voices to be generated and the number of octaves they’ll cover – raise them to 7 and 3. Now raise the Detune and Mix fader to detune and level the six unison voices, and adjust the Pan to spread them from left to right. 3 Unmute Oscillator 2 and head to its Voicing tab. Here you can build up chords by defining four intervals, or dial in four voices of more controllable unison detune than the V-Saw offers using the Tune, Pan and Volume knobs. Add sub bass to taste with Sub Osc Volume.
