29:41“Often, I’ll add low and high roll-offs, to contain low subs. Any low, flappy stuff needs cleaning up. But if the track is mixed well, I won’t cut sub for the sake of it – a big thing I learned from having my tunes mastered was not to low- and high-cut by default. I listen to what the low-cuts are doing. For car or radio stuff, that’s a pointless frequency, but for bass music, even at 20Hz, a highpass filter can remove that low ‘air’ and weight.”
