Willawa to star at Narrogin
Long-established Willawa Murray Grey stud will offer five bulls at this year’s
Invitational Bull Sale in Narrogin — a first for the stud.
Willawa stud principal Viv Giles, of Lake Magenta, said she was pleased with the condition of all her livestock, after floods in February affected the amount of paddock feed available and forced earlier than anticipated hay supplementation.
In addition to having 100 Murray Grey breeders, Ms Giles runs 5200 head of sheep and has a 3500 hectare cropping program. “The 2018 sale team, sired by Ayre Park Fonzie, are looking great with softness, length and structural soundness,” Ms Giles said.
“They are showing good nature and low birthweights, and scan figures and weights will be on display on sale day.”
Ms Giles said freight would be available for all Willawa bulls purchased.
