Boyanup Sale report
In a sale of two parts, 702 head of mixed-quality cattle were offered by live weight to mainly restockers present from south-western districts.
The sale comprised Friesian feeder steers plus a smaller number of yearlings and weaner cattle.
Beef bred vealer steers averaged 305c/kg, down 10c/kg mainly due to very limited live export demand. Light weights sold to 370c/kg. The 200280kg range averaged 355c/kg, the 280-330kg range 314c/kg and heavier weights 297c/kg.
Beef bred vealer heifers averaged 275c/kg, 10c/ kg down mainly due to quality and weak live export demand. The very light weights sold to 310c/kg, lightweights to 275c/kg, medium weights to 275c/kg and heavyweights to 275c/kg.
