$296,000 sprayer tops Grange sale

One of the most widely an­tic­i­pated clear­ing sales in the State was held on Tues­day at the for­mer Wel­lard-owned The Grange, in Don­gara.

A crowd of more than 200 peo­ple at­tended the auc­tion where 366 lots went un­der the ham­mer.

The sale gross was still be­ing fi­nalised as Coun­try­man went to press.

El­ders auc­tion­eers sold some big ticket items in­clud­ing DBS seeder bars, CLAAS head­ers and John Deere sprayers and trac­tors.

The mood among the crowd was pos­i­tive, with all but 10 of the items sold.

El­ders area man­ager Ryan Robin­son said the fine and cooler weather added to the suc­cess of the day.

“The top price for the day was a John Deere R404S sprayer, which sold for $296,000,” he said.

“Some other good re­sults were two John Deer 9951RT trac­tors, which got $265,000 and $224,000.

“The client was also pleased to get $227,000 for the John Deere 8345R trac­tor on of­fer.”
