$296,000 sprayer tops Grange sale
One of the most widely anticipated clearing sales in the State was held on Tuesday at the former Wellard-owned The Grange, in Dongara.
A crowd of more than 200 people attended the auction where 366 lots went under the hammer.
The sale gross was still being finalised as Countryman went to press.
Elders auctioneers sold some big ticket items including DBS seeder bars, CLAAS headers and John Deere sprayers and tractors.
The mood among the crowd was positive, with all but 10 of the items sold.
Elders area manager Ryan Robinson said the fine and cooler weather added to the success of the day.
“The top price for the day was a John Deere R404S sprayer, which sold for $296,000,” he said.
“Some other good results were two John Deer 9951RT tractors, which got $265,000 and $224,000.
“The client was also pleased to get $227,000 for the John Deere 8345R tractor on offer.”
