Cross Stitcher - - News - SUSAN & MARTIN PENNY EDITORS

IF YOU HAD TO PICTURE your dream home, what would it look like? For us a lovely garden is an absolute must. We don’ t get as much chance as we’ d like to work in our own but our chickens approve as there’ s always something interesting for them to peck and scratch at. As for the ideal house, Susan Bates’ dreamy design on page 14 comes pretty close with its arched windows and veranda, surrounded with its glorious garden in full bloom. You must try stitching this on a blue fabric that makes us think of summer skies! Maybe you dream of living overseas? If so we have the perfect motif collection for you. Take a look at all the cityscapes starting on page 74– there’ s everything from a Paris street to a Moscow monument for you to stitch. Talking of distant places, we’ re thrilled with how many of you have got in touch to take part in our new Cross Stitcher Cor respondents feature. It’ s amazing getting a view of our brilliant hobby from so many different countries around the world. Turn to page 38 to read all about st itc hers from Australia, Malaysia and more, and find out how you could take part too. Happy summer stitching!
