Cross Stitcher - - News - SUSAN & MARTIN PENNY EDITORS P.S. We love to hear about your current stitching projects! Send your letters and photos to crossstitcher@dennis.co.uk

WE ALWAYS TEST our projects to make sure they areas good as they can be. Not only do we spend a lot of time making sure the charts are easy to stitch from, we also aim to have the most delicious designs for you to try. All the projects have to be approved by everyone in the office and the lovely team of ladies that stitch for us.

This month a‘ guest’ member of our team assessed the projects in rather a different way. Archie, our office corgi, was looking very pleased with himself! The red and white sugar crumbs all around his mouth told us that he’ d very thoroughly tested our new Advent calendar( page 23). There wasn’t a candy cane left in any of the little stitched pockets. Not content with testing one project, he also decided to chew the‘ trunks’ of our Sc and i-style Christmas trees (page 57). Thank goodness we’ d already done the photography for this very festive issue.

Thank fully Archie hasn’ t suffered any ill effects from his candy feast, and we would of course recommend keeping sweets away from pets. Don’t even ask about the Christmas Eve we spent at the vet’s after Archie beat Santa Claus to the mince pie and sherry!

Happy stitching!

Use our snow globes to whip up a flurry of festive tree decs!
