MAKE A… POCKET TAG

Prettify your tags with a pocket to hold a handwritte­n message or treat.

Step1 MAKE

the pocket first. Tack the pocket dimensions around your design, our pocket measures 6x7cm. Leaving a 1cm seam allowance, cut out and cut your backing fabric to the same size. Place right sides together and pin.

Step 2 MACHINE

stitch the pocket together, carefully following your tacking line. Remember to leave an opening along the bottom edge for turning the pocket right-side out. Hand stitch the opening together.

Step3 MAKE

the fabric tag next. Cut two 12.5x9.5cm fabric pieces. On the back of one piece, draw the tag outline. Place the fabrics right sides together, and machine stitch together with a 1cm seam allowance, and leave an opening for turning.

Step 4 TURN

the fabric tag right-side out, and press. Stitch the opening together. Position the pocket on top and pin. Machine stitch in place, with the exception of the top pocket opening. Add felt holly leaves and a bell to the hanging thread.
