Make a… house cushion
Step 1 CUT
your stitching to the same size as your backing fabric, making sure the house is in the centre of the fabric. Place your stitching and backing fabric right-sides together, and then sew around three sides of the fabric, with a 1.25cm (½in) seam allowance, leaving the bottom open for turning.
Step 2 TURN
to the right side. Fill with toy stuffing, and then sew up the bottom with small, neat stitches, or by machine. If you want to use your house as a door stop, then fill a strong food bag with play sand, and insert into the bottom of the cushion after you have filled it with toy stuffing. Sew up the cushion as before.
