Step 1

STITCH onto 10x11cm (4x4 ¼ in) white 14 count aida fabric. Stitch both shades of blue, the sky area and the snow, using one strand of stranded cotton. The blue backstitch detail in the snow is in two strands and the white car backstitch and red parcel details are in one strand. Using the chart for placement, add seed beads to the tree using sewing thread.

Step 2

CHOOSE to stitch the car or create a car embellishment as follows… Download a car printable (see right). Use glue to stick it to a square of thick card, then trim around the shape. Place on a piece of foam. Use an embroidery needle to pierce two holes in the door. It should be stitched just below the tree, through the two holes in the car door.

Step 3

COMPLETE the stitching, then cut around the design leaving two squares of unstitched aida fabric outside the design. Fray the fabric by removing the outer fabric square.

Step 4

DOWNLOAD our pre-printed card blank then carefully place strips of doublesided tape onto it, in the blank area at the front. Place the stitching on top of the tape, and press firmly in place.
