Make a… cushion
COMPLETE all the stitching, then cut the aida to 46x30.5cm (18x12in), with the design in the centre.
PLACE the cushion front right-sides together with the backing fabric. Pin the layers together with the pom-pom trim between, then machine stitch around the edge with a 1.25cm (½in) seam allowance, leaving a gap for turning.
TURN to the right side, insert the cushion pad and sew up the gap with small, neat stitches.
It’s important to stick to an ivory shade of fabric, as this, as opposed to any stitching, makes up a large portion of the colour of the pug’s fur
