LINDBLAD Ex­pe­di­tions has re­vealed ren­ders for what is be­ing touted as the “world’s most ad­vanced po­lar ex­pe­di­tion ship”.

The Na­tional Geo­graphic En­durance is the first new po­lar build in the line’s his­tory, and is sched­uled to de­part on her in­au­gu­ral Arc­tic itin­er­ar­ies fol­low­ing her early 2020 de­liv­ery.

The ship’s most strik­ing fea­ture is its dis­tinc­tive pro­file ( pic­tured), high­light­ing its spe­cially cre­ated X-Bow shape.

The unique de­sign gives the ship the “smoothest, most com­fort­able ride imag­in­able”, re­sult­ing in greater fuel ef­fi­ciency and fewer emis­sions for re­duced en­vi­ron­men­tal im­pact.

The ship fea­tures 56 stan­dard cab­ins with bal­conies, 13 ex­tra large bal­cony suites fea­tur­ing full­height win­dows ( pic­tured above), an Ice Lounge where guests can en­joy re­caps and pre­sen­ta­tions, as well as sev­eral din­ing op­tions in­clud­ing Restau­rant Two Seven Zero ( le ).
