The original Vaypor was a brutally stiff heatmoulded sprinter’s slipper. The latest version, while retaining the heat-mould bathtub sole design, has changed to a kangaroo leather upper lined with calf skin, which sandwich Bont’s light mesh ‘skeleton’ to ensure the upper stays free of stretch. The result is a stiff, light, yet supple shoe with a secure Boaassisted fit. The downside is the asking price.
