Remove the stem cap, loosen steerer tube bolts, and slide the bar off. Re-install the stem cap on the steerer so you don’t lose it. Wrap insulation around the head-tube and steerer tube. Hook the bar’s left drop around the fork, and the right drop around the steerer tube.
