Weather guru goes online

Daily Mercury - - NEWS -

L&K MACKAY Severe Weather now has its own website.

The local weather forecaster Liam Leonard has steadily been growing his Facebook page, so decided to branch out by launching a website.

“After six months of planning and three months of building L&K Mackay Severe Weather released its very own webpage,” he said.

“With over 13000 followers on our Facebook page, I believe it’s time to bring our very own webpage onto the internet.

“With the help of Sally Embrey, we have put in numerous hours putting the page together, using followers pictures they have sent in to use as backgrounds for the page.”

Several tabs on the page include, current severe weather events, live Facebook page feed, live weather station readings from headquarters, four-day forecasts (currently in BETA mode) for the Central Coast and Whitsundays districts and a feedback section.

“We will still be running our Facebook page consistently which will also have live updates during severe weather events as well,” he said.

The website is www.mackaysevereweather.com.au
