SOLD ON MACKAY
WITH A price tag of $1.25 million for a four bedroom, three bathroom home, you would expect nothing but the best – and 41 Portside Place does not disappoint.
The luxury Shoal Point property has just hit the market, with agents throwing around the terms ‘executive’, ‘award winning’ and ‘wow factor’ to try to give an adequate description of the stunning home.
Located at The Shoals, the two-storey family home boasts three queen-size bedrooms and a bathroom/powder room on the lower level, along with a lounge and bar area that opens out to the in-ground solar heated pool with spa, swim jets and water spout as well as a third bathroom.
Upstairs features an open plan living space leading to an extensive deck, an entertainer’s kitchen and a true master suite with double shower, walk in robe and ocean views.
The 700sq m Portside Place property is just one of dozens of new properties to enter the market as Mackay real estate activity seemingly ramps up.
According to REIQ, Mackay’s latest quarterly result showed the median house price for residential property below 2400sq m had grown by more than 7%.
This finding, paired with Herron Todd White’s September review for the region, which found activity had increased within the suburbs that have the average backyard, paints a promising picture for agents moving forward.
The latest HTW results indicate Mackay’s housing market has reached the ‘bottom of the market’ on the property clock meaning the only way from here is up.
REIQ say while it is too soon to declare the market is in ‘recovery mood’, the recent sales activity and growth is in indication the green shoots of recovery are not far away.
