Bailed gunman kills random 4
A CRAZED gunman has killed four people and left 10 injured after opening fire at a US primary school.
Kevin Neal, 43, was facing a number of police charges when he went on the rampage in California yesterday, opening fire across seven locations.
Detectives believe the shooting began at his home before he stole a truck and moved on to nearby Rancho Tehama Elementary School.
Wearing combat fatigues and armed with a semiautomatic rifle and two handguns, he was stopped from entering the school when staff initiated a lockdown.
Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said the shooter was “picking off people at random” after leaving the property, before he was shot dead by police.
Local man Brian Flint described Neal as obsessed with weapons and said he had been threatening neighbours with guns in recent weeks.
Neal was on bail for stabbing a female neighbour.
