The sun is shining and so are summer fruit and vegetables in tonight’s delicious expedition with foodie and inquisitive host Maeve O’Meara. We’re ripe for an exploration into “tomato day”. It’s a revered moment in the Italian food calendar and tonight Maeve joins three generations of the Baggio family in suburban Melbourne as they bottle up the deliciousness of warm days with a home-made passata. Italian food legend Guy Grossi also joins the plant party, honouring the seductive power of nightshade vegetables with pasta dish Garganelli Alla Norma.
