Artist’s colour­ful per­spec­tive

FROM the Gar­den to the Seashore is the lat­est ex­hibit to hang on the walls of the La­goons Gallery.

Through­out No­vem­ber a se­lec­tion of art­works by Mackay artist Deb­bie Con­nors will be on show.

Mrs Con­nors has be­come known for her il­lus­trated Mackay re­gion lo­ca­tions, from Far Beach to the Eimeo Ho­tel.

Her lat­est ex­hi­bi­tion is a show­case of her jour­ney as a pain­ter from times past – grow­ing up in a much cooler cli­mate – to liv­ing in Mackay where there is an abun­dance of in­spi­ra­tion in the amaz­ing and beau­ti­ful trop­i­cal en­vi­ron­ment we live in.

Mrs Con­nors has lived in the Mackay area for more than 20 years af­ter mov­ing from the south coast of New South Wales.

A colour­ful col­lec­tion of flora and land­scapes in var­i­ous medi­ums is on dis­play, in­clud­ing Mrs Con­nors’ new coastal se­ries, and the process in­volved in cre­at­ing th­ese pieces.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will be shown in the La­goons Gallery at the Botanic Gar­dens Cafe un­til Sun­day, De­cem­ber 2.
