THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND THE REGION
AFL grand finals
The two senior Dalby Swans sides are playing for premiership glory tomorrow.
The sides will be playing the Warwick Redbacks in the men’s game, and the Toowoomba Tigers in the Women’s game.
Both of our teams lost to their opponents in the major semi-finals two weeks ago, but this will not deter the flying Swans.
The men will start at 12.45pm and the women are at 2.45pm.
Both grand finals will be played at Rockville Oval, Toowoomba.
If you are wanting a fun, family friendly activity this weekend, then the Warra Markets is the place for you.
On this Sunday morning there will be plenty of stalls to cater for every persons tastes and interests.
The drive out to Warra is beautiful and is only matched by the morning tea you will have at the market.
The market runs from 8am–12pm and is across the road from the Warra Post Office, on the Warrego Hwy.
Saints Race Day
It is a big day at Bunya Park for a huge race day. There will be Fashion on the Field, plenty of food and drink and a bumper seven-race card.
First race is at 12.58pm, with entertainment beginning before then. The main race is at 4.08pm.
Relay for Life
The annual Relay for Life will begin at 3pm on Saturday, with teams going all through the night, until 9am on Sunday.
The event is raising money for the Cancer Council. The relay will be held at the Dalby Showgrounds and donations can still be made at www.relayforlife.org.au/.
Do not forget the weekly parkrun through the Myall Creek Parklands starting at 7am on Saturday. Registrations must be made at www.parkrun.com.au/ dalby/, and you must bring your barcode to the run.
