Dalby Herald - - OPINION -

LET’S take a look at your comments on some of our recent Facebook posts:

■ On “Head-on collision west of Dalby”

Carmel Poole: Wow I hope both drivers are okay? Not much info to go on at this stage as there is only the mention of a driver trapped and released before medical attention ....

■ On “Four dead this week on south-west roads”

Colin Fountain: I have seen a number of near misses because people get impatient and pass without anywhere near enough room and the oncoming vehicle has to slow down very quickly to avoid a head on. With so many trucks on the road people just have to exercise more patience and give themselves a bit longer to get where they are going.

■ On “Retail boom becomes real as stores ramp up efforts” Tommy Law: We were discussing with others at employment expo yesterday and the general vibe is the businesses seem very quiet and Dalby is in a bit of a slump at moment especially just losing so many with Ostwalds shedding staff and moving on. Hope to see some more employment projects locally to keep people here.
